QNX Continues Telematics Drive in Asia

SAE WORLD CONGRESS (DETROIT) - QNX Software Systems today announced that four tier-one automotive suppliers have selected the QNX® Neutrino® realtime operating system (RTOS) for several next-generation, in-car navigation systems now available in the Korean and Chinese markets. With these commercial deployments, QNX is rapidly emerging as the OS of choice for infotainment and navigation systems in the Asian market.

JamaicaVM: Realtime Java Solution for QNX

aicas announced the availability of its hard realtime Java technology, JamaicaVM, for the upcoming QNX® Neutrino® RTOS v6.3. The JamaicaVM is a Java implementation for deeply embedded and time critical systems. SDL 1.2.7 Released

SDL 1.2.7 was just released. Addition of the video hardware acceleration support on QNX is one of the biggest changes for this release. Details on using/building SDL 1.2.7 on QNX 6 are documented in the updated README.QNX file. Mike has also created some screenshots using SDL 1.2.7 at http://mike.qnx.org.ru/screenshots/. QNX to Offer Native Support for 3D Graphics

EMBEDDED WORLD (Nürnberg, Germany), February 17, 2004 - Traditionally, only desktop operating systems have offered 3D graphics, making 3D user interfaces difficult or impossible to implement on embedded devices. But that's no longer true, thanks to new technology previewed today by QNX Software Systems. With release 6.3 of the QNX® Neutrino® RTOS, QNX becomes the first RTOS vendor to offer native support for 3D graphics and multi-layer user interfaces.

After years of hard work, the new www.qnx.com website is finally launched. Congruations to the team of between Marketing and IS department. The new web site includes a much better integrated myQNX site and web based access to their support newsgroups. Along with the new site launch, they also included lot's details about what features were in the upcoming QNX version 6.3.
