When PSE decided to streamline processing of meters and equipment in their repair facilities, they turned to ITTIA. PSE selected ITTIA software and consulting services to design, develop and deliver a new generation of meter management solution that is innovative in the utility industry. PSE is using the ITTIA software at its Kent, Washington location.
ITTIA developed an application to track and collect data from meters processed in the repair facility. By collecting information in real time and organizing it for use in business logic, meter management issues are now identified and resolved in advance. Because data and business rules are stored in a central database, the entire facility is managed through a single interface.
ITTIA’s solution helps PSE to improve its meter management processes by gaining visibility into meter status and condition, which allows the company to take the required actions more quickly and thereby increase productivity and save time. The custom solution also utilizes ITTIA database in the field to collect information about electrical transformers on Windows CE hand-held computers. Mobile data acquisition is now part of the main system, making data management safe and efficient without relying on connectivity.
