OTTAWA, CANADA and TOKYO, JAPAN, September 29, 2004 - QNX Software Systems announced today that Matsushita Electric Industrial Company (NYSE: MC) of Japan, maker of products under the Panasonic brand name, has chosen the QNX® Neutrino® realtime operating system for its latest generation of security products.Renowned for its ultra reliability, the QNX Neutrino RTOS will be used by Matsushita for advanced surveillance security system equipment (hard-disk recorders; WJ-HD300 series). Matsushita is a world leader in security equipment and a supplier of Panasonic security systems products for high-profile events such as the Olympic games.
