IXDP2351 BSP

Post by Cristian Nicolae » Wed Mar 08, 2006 11:41 am

Hello

I am using a 30-day evaluation of QNX Momentics PE 6.3.0 on a Win2k host.
I have the IXDP2351 BSP binary
(http://www.qnx.com/download/group.html?programid=10747) for the Intel
IXDP2351 development platform.

I have successfully generated and transferred the OS image to the target,
but when booting I get the following error:

'Process 5 (pci-ixp23xx) terminated SIGBUS code=3 fltno=5 ip=00101748
ref=000fefd8
Unable to access "/dev/pci" (2)'

Does anyone have any idea why this error occurs and how to solve it?

Thanks

James MacMillan

Hi Cristian,

Are you booting from the Recovery Loader?

Here is an excerpt from the Known Issues section of the BSP's
release notes:

# The PCI server will fail with a SIGBUS on startup when booting from
the recovery loader.

Workaround: Booting from the recovery loader is unsupported. Use the IPL
or the Redboot ROM monitor in order to load an OS image to the board.

The BSP's release notes should be installed on your development host
system at the following URL:

file:///usr/qnx630/target/qnx6/etc/readme/bsp/intel_ixdp2351_rel.html

Cheers,
James
