can work qnet via serial?

Post by zhxy » Sat Jan 10, 2004 1:46 am

I type on PC 1:
io-net -dfd fd=/dev/ser1 -pqnet host=pc1

on PC 2:
io-net -dfd fd=/dev/ser1 -pqnet host=pc2

but in /net directory only local PC.

how to config?

I would suggest you don't try to run QNet over a serial link as the protocol
is so bloated, it runs very very slowly.

If you really insist on trying it, then the command line should be something
like -

io-net -d fd fd=/dev/ser1,mac=000102030405,ahdlc -p qnet ticksize=500

The MAC address should be different at each end of the link.
