SDL audio

Post by Todd Meade » Mon Sep 22, 2003 2:34 am

When moving to QNX 6.2.1 from 6.20 , the audio stopped working for me with
some the SDL toys that are on the 3rdParty CD. I have an SB Live! card,
which I assume is in very common usage, so I thought others might have the
same problem. I fixed the problem by rebuilding SDL 1.2.6 after removing
the disabling of MMAP. Anyone know why this "fixed" things?

Yep, it is already known problem. SDL 1.2.7 development branch in the CVS
already contain workarounds to this bug.

I'm planning to release the new fixed SDL 1.2.6 package soon.

P.S. Just FYI removing MMAP you'll broke SDL sound on the other cards. This
problem appears AFAIK only in the SBLive! and Vortex 8820/8830 drivers.
