Problem with the IDE System Information

Post by Vincent Gilson » Thu Nov 20, 2003 1:57 pm

Hello,

I've tried to start the system information tool in the IDE... it works,
but I have a problem when I try to start the 'Event Kernel Tracing'
option (with right clic on Target project), when it wants to connect to
localhost:8000, it makes an error :
'Error : operation cancelled.'

Then I don't know how to transfert information between this two
perspectives.

I also try to start tracelogger manually, but it says :

'TRACELOGGER: function call TraceEvent(((0x00000001<<28)|17)) failed
errno(48): Not supported
TRACELOGGER: function call TraceEvent failed errno(48): Not supported
TRACELOGGER: function call TraceEvent failed errno(48): Not supported'

I work in local mode.

Can anyone help me ?

Thank you.

You aren't running procnto-instr. You have to re-build your os image
with a different version of procnto that includes the instrumentation
hooks -- they aren't in there by default.

(Look at docs mkifs, /boot/build/ for build files. Replace the
/.boot file to reboot with a new image.)
