I re-booted a server system (into etxt mode) then went into Photon.
I loaded a pterm sesion and used it. All was working well.
I left the room and came back and the keyboared and mouse were frozen.
I was still in the pterm and characters were not showing up on the
screen. I tried to exit Photon <Ctrl>+<Alt>+<Shift>+<BackSpace> and
nothing happened.
I was able to access the server system from another system. I have
the output from a pidin command. But then I noticed that there was
an io-graphics.core dump in the /var/dumps directory. I was going to
send it as an attachment to this messaeg but it is 112 MB in size. ;~}
What other information would be useful to diagnose what caused this
problem?
I am running 6.2.1B PE and I have since rebooted.

If you still have the core file, maybe the output from coreinfoI was able to access the server system from another system. I have

Re: Keyboard & mouse freeze
This happened again over the weekend. When I came in this morning the
screen was frozen. I was able to telnet in from another node and I saw
that photon was not running. So I simply ran 'ph' and the system
sprung back to life. It's nice to know tha there is a semi-graceful
way to restore without rebooting. This is a server system and all of
the server processes seem to continue to function normally. it's just
photon (io-graphics) that's crashing.
Here is the new coreinfo just in case there is any more useful
information in it. The .core file is dated Dec 13 (Sat) 14:14 PM CST.
BTW, the only thing that has been going on on this system that's
different from before is that I've been configuring Apache from the 3rd
party CD. But I really don't see how that can kill io-graphics.
