VesaTweak for QNX 6.3.x publicly available

Followup to our old article, Evan Hillas released a new version for the latest QNX 6.3 on his QNX project site. The new QNX 6.3.0 Photon VESA driver has added shadowbuffer for faster scrolling and dragging. The driver that this is built from already performs refresh rate setting so this version no longer has the addition for tweaking the display timings.

The driver won't appear in the prefs list of drivers until after a reboot.

Get QNX 2 running on Bochs under QNX 6

Robert Krten recently got QNX 2 running on Bochs under QNX 6 and he shares with us the list of gotchas and tricks.Compilation:
Bochs will not compile out of the box. You need to perform the following
hacks:
i) add -lsocket to the top level Makefile
ii) gui/gui.cc procedure bx_gui_c::snapshot_handler(void), you need
to comment out the code that does the strcmp() against the "wx"
string; else it will SIGSEGV when you take a snapshot

CAN DDK for MPC5200 for QNX 6.3

A driver development kit (DDK) for the MSCAN controllers of the embedded PowerPC MPC5200 from Motorola is now offered for OEMs from STEINHOFF Automation & Fieldbus Systems. MSCAN Support for QNX Neutrino RTOS v.6.3 is available for the Total5200 Box and the Lite5200 Evaluation Board from Motorola. Adaption for customized versions is also offered.
